Following his compelling video choreography and performance for NEEDTOBREATHE, Truman was brought on as a movement coach and choreographer for Ela Melo, lead singer of Rainbow Kitten Surprise.

Together, Truman and Ela developed the movement for the “Work Out” music video—a raw and intimate piece that celebrated Ela’s journey and voice as a newly-out transwoman.

The choreography later came to life on stage in Truman’s dance performance with the band at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver, Colorado.

Truman subsequently choreographed two additional videos for RKS, “Superstar” and “LOL,” for which he lead the casting and direction of dancers, teaching them the original choreography he had created for each song.

These projects combined movement, storytelling, and identity into bold visual expressions of Ela’s evolving artistry.
